New whey isolate protein supplement
I'm 30 months post op, and I still rely on a few protein supplements weekly to assure good protein intake. My surgeon's office just made me aware of a new protein product, called Baricare. This product was just introduced in mid August, 2008. Primarily distributed through surgeon's offices, my surgeon gave me samples to try--but he does not "vend" products through his office. Briefly: chocolate or vanilla shakes, or a custard /pudding version. Is designed with the post op in mind--it mixes with 2, 3 or 4 oz of water to accomodate the intake ability of the post op. 20grams protein per serving, comes in individual packets, 50 times the RDA of B12, 2 grams of protein, 100% RDA of D, about 50% of RDA of other vitamins. We did a taste test of the chocolate as a recent post op meeting. Tasted like fudge brownie batter, and got a 10 for taste from everyone. My blogs and profile story talk more about it. But it's the best tasting protien supplement I've had since my surgery. DAVE

Your surgeon may sell it for around $22 a box. A few online sources sell it for $16.95 to $19.95 per box. My blogs found a source for $15, and it's noted there. DAVE
