I tried and liked Tandem (it's like Repliva in that it is also given to pregnant women a lot due to the decreased side effects compared with other irons).

It worked for me fairly quickly.

Penni,
I take Tender Iron from vitalady.com with Vit C.  I think it's the best iron supplement for us.  Some people also take copper to increase the absorption.

for the last 31 year I have had not any really problems. I had the gastric by pass in 77 then had it reversed in 1982.  Having maintain my weight with in 7- 10 lbs for the last 20 years.  But these last 2 years allot has been happening   The latest is my iron and calcium have gone to alert levels. As I have reading on your message boards, you have giving me allot of info.   4 month's ago they did another colonoscopy and the scope down the throat,  they thought I might be bleeding internally.  o-okay their.  I also have fibromyalgia, I take Neurton nerve inhibitor so I had no idea that my feet were having nerve damage due to low alert levels in my iron and calcium.
I thought I had arthritis.

Help educate me.  This is the first I heard that  this iron problem is associated with bariatric surgery!    I am on poly-iron 150   polysaccharide iron complex     2 times a day for 4 month and has help zero.   I have a appt with a blood Dr. after the holidays.   I have had a B12 shot every month sine my 1st surgery 1977.   thank you kpp
