Back in July I had my levels checked including iron.  My iron was very low 6.  I had to take this huge iron pill called Repliva.  I took it for 3 weeks and was tested again last week again.  It came back even lower!  So, I have to go see a blood specialist to see what is going on.  My question...has this happened to any of you and what did they have to do to get your iron up?  Also, what was the reason for yours being low.  Thanks in advance for your advice.  Have a great day and God bless, Penni

My bloodwork has always been really good, but I just had my five year bloodwork done, and my iron (ferritin level) was a 6.  The hemoglobin and hematacrit were low normal.  I have heard of so many people getting their iron levels back up using Vitalady's tender iron. So, I ordered some.  So, we will see how it works.  My only problem so far is terrible constipation with it.  I hope someone reads this and gives me some advice on how to handle that aspect of things because I mean its bad.  LOL.  Hard as bricks.  I know that is TMI, but I figure people on here will understand.  LOL.  Good luck and keep us posted on what you learn.

It is expensive but if you have insurance they may pay for it.. ask your Dr.

Hi, I just got my latest lab results back after supplementing with Vita Lady's tender iron, and for the first time since surgery (even before surgery I was slightly anemic) by iron/ferritin levels were normal! I chew 7 tablets a day along with chewable vitamin C, and it worked. I was on prescription iron before (Niferex) and it didn't do a thing for me except constipate me. Tender Iron is cheap, too-good luck!

My labs from October are very low I see a Hemotologist next Tuesday,,,,My NP is thinking Iron infusions.  I am also on Repliva (started my second month)  Can't Say I can tell a difference.  The best I ever feel is the week following my B12 shot.

I had 4 iron infusions at the hospital.  It brought my iron up over one hundered. So push for that so you will feel better quickly.  My insurance covered it.
I am now dropping iron again after only a few months, they are having me do a abdominal and pelvis Ct Scan tommorow to see if there is any internal bleeding.
Good luck

I just had mine checked and it is 28, which my pcp says is low so I just picked up RX for Repliva. I am hoping to avoid any further issues with constipation by taking my daily stool softner.

I will have a appt to recheck in a month, so hope it helps me.

I had low iron 9 and low ferritin too.  My doctor put me on 5 Iron IV transfusions.  My levels only went back up to 10.1  They have me seeing a GI for an EGD and Colonoscopy.  I think they are on a wild goose chase because doesn't it seem odd that one year ago my levels were fine but now aren't. I just don't understand it.  I read some of the posts about the iron supplements and taking vitamin C I plan to do that soon.  Hang in there!!!!!  Let us know how it goes.
