Ruby, I absolutely understand what you are experiencing.. I have the same thoughts.. but I agree with the NeverAgain... but there are good days and bad days. and we just have to get thru them..
Best of luck, I know the struggle.. and I will keep up the fight with you...

I notice our surgey dates are close.  It does get hard about now, but we have to keep trying.  We have come too far to give up now.  "One foot in front of the other" is the only way.  Thanks for the reply.  Thanks for caring.   Ruby

You have had several posts of great advice.  I just wanted to add my words of that you are not alone.  I know exactly what you are saying.

BUT, we can now have a bad day, pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and keep putting one foot infront of the other.  We made our choice, now we live in the reality of it.  Even if we don't feel like it one day, we know that it is not worth giving up the battle, even if it feels like we aren't winning some days.

hugs, Ruth

i can absolutely relate to what you are saying. i wish now that i'm thin, someone just waved a majic wand and took all my eating issues/neuroses, etc. away. i regained about 10 lbs so i'm now 135 and want to get back to 125 desperately but at the same time don't want to have my whole life revolve around weight.

on the upside, my life revolved around my weight and yo-yo dieting since i hit puberty but, for the last few years pre-WLS i was not only weight obsessed but also fat and miserable with the way i looked, felt, etc.

at  lease now my efforts pay off:)

Seems a lot of us have the same thoughts and feelings.  The pounds can slip back on so easily.  Hang in there.  Don't let any more pounds come back.  They are so hard to get back off.  Thanks for the reply and good luck.

Have you ever observed a skinny person eating? My daughter is skinny and when she eats, she eats slowly, and when she is full, she puts her napkin on her food and pushes it away. She says she can't eat another bite and I have never made her. She also forgets to eat - something I did the first year but now can't seem to do. Now I'm always hungry or empty as I call it.  Just sit back sometime and watch the behavior of a skinny person and learn!

I had my surgery in march of 2005. I was 268 my highest, I lost down to 155, Now I am 193, a 40 pound weight gain. I start off each day eating what I am suppose to then fall off by mid day. Sweets make me sick some of the time but not enough to make me stop eating them. Liquid calories my downfall. I try and try. I exercise then stop. When I first had this surgery I was on the band wagon who said why would you ever allow yourself to start regaining this weight again, then it happen to me. Now all my clothes are tight. I can't afford to go to therpy or even order the 5 day pouch  book online, money is very tight and to feed my family I need to buy cheaper foods that are higher in carbs. I am so mad at myself, because I know all the defiencies I have from this WLS I will have more things health wise wrong with me if I continue to regain more weight. I know that there is a group on line you can join at a cost that helps you get back on track, but it makes me mad that it costs to get this surgery, it cost for all the special foods and vitamins we need ,now it costs to get help to get back on track. But I will continue to try to loose this weigh I have regained. And Kathleen Thank God you have a sensative pouch, I sometimes wish mine was, I also can eat any thing without ever throwing up. We regainers all need to form our own group and help each other out. Talk to one another and support each other and maybe with a little help from one another we can get back on track.

Yvonne thanks for the reply.   I think, as you said, we need a regainers board.  This struggle is the pits, but we have to keep trying.  Ruby

Ruby and All,
Sometimes there is a mechanical failure that is part of the cause of weight regain.  Have you visited you bariatric surgeon lately?  Have you researched revision surgery?  Revision surgery is not for everyone, but remind yourself that you are not a failure, you just have yet to succeed to the goal you want to maintain.

Find out if there is a mechanical failure before you go beating yourself up, sometimes it's not your fault.

Come to find out after I was bashed by my bariatric surgeon that it was my fault that I regained weight, it was that she gave me a 30 cm short/if not non-existant bypass.  When I lost my restriction, I was done with the weight loss.

I am glad that I found a great revision Dr. and am now 10 weeks post op with my Extended RNY revision surgery and have now lost 21 lbs and am now back to my 100 weight loss.  100 lbs is where I stopped with my original surgery.

Best of luck to everyone and keep up the good fight.  You deserve to succeed and if you need a second chance, take it.
