Slider foods stink, but I can't get through day without partaking in a few, lol.  I think the main thing that helps me is to eat the denser foods on my plate first, which is actually a rule of WLS anyway.  The problem for me is with my snacks though.  I love to have a couple of whole wheat Ritz with peanut butter on them for my snack, but that just slides right through.

Oh man, I remember when I started being able to eat more, I freaked out!  I was like, oh great, leave it to me to break my pouch.  But now I'm trying to focus more on the dense proteins and not drinking with meals, and it's made a huge difference in the amount of food I need to feel satisfied.  If you're drinking with meals, let me encourage you to stop and see if it helps.

If we were talking together, sitting there. I'd ask stuff like, how much volume over how much time? Do you feel fullish, wait a bit, then eat more to get a certain portion or "finish" the plate? Does your volume depend on whether you drink with the meal? Or do you prefer sliders because you can eat more? How about stuff like beef or chicken... taken alone, with gravy or mayo perhaps, but not with any drink--how much can you eat over how much time?

I'd be looking for a mechanical issue OR just a restraining of self issue. Maybe you never HAD good instruction, so you're eating more because someone told you to? Happens a lot.

My personal rule is when I feel full THE FIRST TIME or 15 minutes, whichever comes first. So, since I am a volume eater by preference, that means when I feel full, I get up and remove the plate NOW. If I sit there and socialize with food there, I WILL wait til the full feeling subsides and eat more.

I did the surgery twice (my old 94 broken, repaired 2000), so I've bought my pouch twice. Kinda stupid to eat around it if I know better. It's not stupid if you didn't know better OR if you don't feel full at all, ever.

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.
