Motivation and Life style changes
Hi gang,
Been reading some posts and we have a lot of people having problems gaining weight back.
Time to do some thinking and some deep breathing with some great ideas to get that motivation back! Come on you can do it, you are all a success and it's time to take control of your life.
Eat dense protien, then your veggies/fruits, don't drink with meals, follow the 30/30 rule. If carbs are taking over your life then detox yourself from carbs or at least limit them.
I'm not for going on diets, this is for life time, it's not a race and you will get where you want to be.
Are you exercising? No excuses, get moving to lose.
Today I added a workout class called Cardio Body sculpting, it was more like boot camp! After that went to work and after I get off work it's on to water aerobics.
Yes folks, I've been around a long time, had stomach stapeling in the early 1980's. Now I'm at goal thanks to exercising, my RNY, going to Bariatric support groups and having work out buddies.
Is it hard? Hell yeah, but I never in my life thought I'd wear a size 8 and life feels so much better on the thin side. For me there's no magic number on the scale, it's how I look and feel in clothes. I only weigh myself once a week.
If you are comfort eating, ask yourself why? What can you put in place of comfort eating? Is it going for a walk? painting your toenails, volunteering your time. Concentrate on making someone's life better...maybe watching your neighbors kids and taking them for a walk with you. Mowing the elderly's lawn...getting my drift people?
Good luck to all of you, try to find that motivation that those early post ops have.
