What a nice relaxing day I had today. I had a brilliant idea to take the mini cupcakes from the office party that I got stuck with, to church with us and feed them to the Senior class that we attend. I don't generally eat any of the treats they have there because nothing is sugar free but they can sure have the stuff I can't eat!

Then we had breakfast (the second one for me) and then came home and vegged all afternoon...What a nice day!

My food list:

oatmeal, 1/2 oz of soy protein, 1/4 cup Tvp, 1 cup soy milk and coffee

2 eggs and 3.5 oz of ribeye steak, a bit (less than a half cup of hashed browns, 1 pc of wheat toast

Lunch was a cup of homemade chili with pork and black beans.

Dinner was 4.5 oz of pork chop, 1/2 a small baked potato and I could barely squeeze in 1/4 cup of canned green beans

Totals for the day:

Calories: 1819
Fat: 80.3
Carbs: 128.2
Protein: 155.2

I did good on protein today. I fell alittle short on water. I only had about 72 oz of water and about 20 oz of coffee. I still have time but I'm getting tired. I did 24 minutes on the Wii fit today. I need to do that every day and I'm not doing it. I need to kick my own butt to get it going...

How did you all do? Lazy or got it goin on?

I had an o.k day, I would of liked a little more vegging but oh well! We had breakfast read the paper and then went to church. After church I did a little cleaning made lundh and got ready for Zumba. My daughter and her friend always swim while I am in my class. After Zumba a half dozen of us went to Starbucks for an hour to get to know each other better. It was really nice. Just finished dinner and am going to jump in the shower and play a game of Battleship with my daughter before going to bed. The clock may say it is only 7 but my body knows it is 8 and I am wanting to get to bed in the next hour or so! Hope everyone has a great week!
B-light english muffin w/ canadian bacon,egg and a sprinkle of 2% cheese

D-Baked ziti made it for my husbands birthday-too many carbs- that is why I am so tired probably
s-?
1 hour of Zumba and  lots of laundry! I think I got all my water, and I know I got all my vitamins and calcium.

There are alot of carbs in this list but you got alot of stuff done too...An hour of Zumba isnt' alittle...

You'll need the protein the next couple of days to get that carb craving out of your body but you should be just fine..Keep up the good work!

I and re-organized my crazy kitchen, doing a little cooking-in-advance (souffles re-heat great!) and enjoyed some back-to-what-works eating.  I bought a delicious smelling chocolate mint patty candle and had it burning-- I LOVE yummy smells!

B: Caramel ProtiDiet Cereal Bar
L: Whole wheat tortilla melt with ham and 50% cabot cheddar and garlic mustard
Half cup of tortilla corn soup
S: Fage 0% yogurt with blueberries
S: Pumpkin/trail mix souffle with sf maple syrup and whipped cream
D: 5 oz chicken cordon bleu and 4 oz BBQ green beans
s: Cup of Only 8 Frozen Yogurt-- Peanut Butter Flavor

(I'm slowly sliding to a ratio of 35% carbs instead of 30%, since it just plain makes more sense now that I am exercising more. Today I am at 40% protein, 34% carbs, 26% fat.)

It absolutely does make sense to increase your carbs when you exercise...I firmly believe you don't need many carbs at all unless you're using them. If you don't use them, they turn into stored carbs/sugars...that's fat in my book.

You're doing awesome. Keep up the good work!

I'm of the opposite camp-- I hear about a LOT of post RNYers trying to eat almost no carbs at all-- and you NEED carbs to have proper neurological function--- you know all this post- RNY depression? I think the carb crash has a lot to do with it! The question is what types of carbs, and how many. I eat very little of the kind that raise my sugars significantly, and I don't eat any rice or pasta or white bread (I avoid gluten where I can) and very little real sugar.

You may be right on that. I dont' avoid carbs at all because I use them up...The only thing I do is make sure I stay away from white carbs for the most part. I will have bread now and then. Some days my carb count goes up above 200...

Good for you! Toss that stuff. My son is too old for trick or treat so we have no more candy in the house. I found a recipe for sugar free peanut brittle that I might try and make for Christmas.

I usually make cookies and candy and bread for the kids for a "care box" for Christmas. I can't spoil the grand kids from far away (cuz their mom's spend the money for them and that aint right) so I make goodies and send it to them. At least I can fill their bellies...once a year.

Your list looks really good. I bet the pound up is from salt...Didnt you have two beers the other night? I bet that did i****er weight...It will be gone by Wednesday...

See ya!
