What happened to me today?
I was at work and was sent outside for a short time - literally was out there maybe 20 mins - well the temps are decent, but the sun was really bright. I started to sweat more than usual, I felt faint & dizzy and suddenly my vision started to go white. Every time I closed my eyes, my vision got even brighter. I told my manager I didn't feel good and went to sit down in the breakroom. I got a really bad headache, my jaw tensed up and according to others, I looked pretty pale (I've been noticing I need a tan.. :) )
Over the last few days I've not been really good about getting in all my water, but I would still say I'm getting enough. I've been getting dizzy upon standing and my legs have been hurting, but I figured that was from alot of walking on Halloween with my kiddo and my wearing a night splint for a foot problem.
I decided to clock out early and leave. So this morning when I got up and checked my sugar is was 86. I ate an egg with cheese and a part of a piece of toast. I also grabbed up some chocolate from my daughters halloween candy (I don't have issues with dumping usually, just some weaknesses to chocolate lol so please don't yell at me). I ate about an hour before I left for work and I was at work for only an hour. When I got home I checked and my sugar was 79 and my blood pressure was perfect at 119/77.
I just finished my first month on birth control and had my blood pressure medicine increased around the same time. Of course I worry about things like blood clots, etc because of those two things. My leg pain feels like I had a cramp in it. No reddness, warmth or swelling.
Any ideas? Dehydration? Hypoglycemia? I don't think it was that since 79 is not that low.
I'm home now, relaxing in the chair, still have a bad headache, my jaw still tense.
I will go to the hospital if this doesn't get better or go away.. but I just wanted to get some input from everyone.
Thanks.

I'm not sure but wanted to let you know....definitely get to the doctor..The only problem is the symptoms have passed, pretty much.
I was thinking hypoglycemic reaction at first (blood sugar up too fast and then down too fast) or blood pressure but your's is like mine: 109 over 72. One day I felt light headed and just "wrong" and had them test me at work (we have a nurse's station) and it was 132 over 85. For me, that's too high but in alittle more than an hour, it was back down to normal..Not sure what it was that caused the spike in pressure.
Dehydration too is likely with those symptoms, I think..
Let us know what it is...I'm very interested to know.

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Trust me, I was very concerned about a heart attack. I was worried since I've been on birth control now and blood pressure meds.
I think it was a migraine. I've been getting them alot lately. And I was dealing with it for quite some time afterwards. Feeling better tonight. I think I'm going to call my doc in the morning and set up an appt.

Definitely go to the dr and please let us know what they say. I would have guessed all of the above guesses b/c those symptoms run the gamet of so many different things. Just to help yourself be sure this week to get in lots and lots of water and try to avoid the candy~believe me, I completely understand and had a few pieces myself over the last few days, LOL, but eliminating the sugar just to see how you're feeling might help. I hope you can find something out today!

I'm going to the doctor today at 345. I have to see a doctor I've never seen before, so I guess in a way that's a good thing. We'll see.
I also started wondering if it has anything to do with my thyroid - I have Graves Disease and was taken off my medicine about 3 months ago to see where my levels go so that we can make a decision on surgery or treatment next month. I'm going to mention that to the doctor as well.
I've still got a headache.. just not as bad as it was yesterday or last night. Drank more water and even a lil bit of pedialyte last night. I'm working on my intake right now as I type.
Thanks again! I will post later on what the conclusion is..

That sounds somewhat similar to what happened to me on Friday and Saturday. I had started the 5 day pouch test and was doing just the protein shakes those days. Severe headache, nausea, and light headedness, and I found out I was going through carb withdrawals! I don't know if that is what happened to you, but I wanted to share.
