help sick since surgery
I had some issues with my surgery and was in the hospital for a month. I got to come home and be on IV's for a while and a wound vac. Ever since I came home I have complained of pain in my lung on the right side. I got Valley Feaver shortly after coming home and now take Diflucan and may have to take it fo r the rest of my life. I'm type 2 diebetic so that complicates things. I've been diganosed with fibromalsia and feel like I have cronic fatuge syndrome. I had a sleep study and got a CPAP machine. It' been a good 3 year since the surgery and I haven't been able to work I have pain all over in my joints and muscles and have no energy. I even fall aslead in the car when my huaband is driving.
Has anyone ever had the same issues? My PCP is now conserned that I am loosing too much weight. I'm happy were I'm at and have to fight every day to not gain.

Kyle,
I'm a little confused. It's been 3 years since your surgery? Do you still need meds for your type 2? and are you still using the CPAP?
My first thought is that you could have a vitamin deficiency. Have you had complete labs done? I always get very sleepy when I've had too many carbs, could the falling asleep be tied to what you've eaten?

Michele,
I'm a third generation type 2 so perhaps that is one of the reasons that I'm still on meds for that. Actually I went on CPAP after the surgery.
I don't eat very many carbs and I get blood tests all the time. I have most of my doctors baffeled.
To me most of my problems started after the hospital visit. I was put on every new drug they had there and wonder if that has had something to do with it. I had eye issues before but the last year the vision has gotten worse. I've see 3 different eye specialists and am waiting t get in to see another one. The CPAP helps me sleep but I still have restless nights.
I never had fibro or cronic fatigue. I was able to work a 10 hour day and loved my work. Now my husband does mostly everything... For me to do something at home I have to plant it out and pace my self. I try to push myself but I have to be carefull of I pay.
