Hello!  How much protein does everyone get in a day?  I'm wondering if I need to up my protein so that I can start loosing again?  Right now I just have a morning protein shake for breakfast (Protein from Wal Mart) and then just eat protein first through the day, and try to keep the carbs low. I seem to remember seeing someone on here before my surgery that said that protein was very important in her weight loss. I never really got to my goal of 170, but was happy where I was.  Now I'm back up a few pounds and trying to see where I can change things.  Please let me know what works for you. Thanks!
Tina

My NUTs plan is as follows -
your daily calories should break down to
to lose - 40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat
to maintain - 30% protein, 40% carbs, 30% fat

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

Extended TT, lipo, fat injections - 11/2011

BA/BL/Arm Lift - 7/2014

Scar revision on arms - 3/2015

HALO laser on arms/neck 9/2016

Thigh Lift 10/2020

I have a minimum of 100 protein grams per day.
Personally, I've done well with the following:
to lose - 50% protein, 30% carbs, 20% fat
to maintain - 40% protain, 40% carbs, 20% fat

Hi Tina. Looking back at my logs on thedailyplate.com I generally get about 80-90g of protein per day~mostly from foods, but I do use some protein supplements when needed. So, how much have you been getting??
