labs came back today

well i got my labs back today and i think overall they looked OK.

im 2 yrs, 3 months out and my cholesterol while still a little high is down from last time.

im working on that but seems surgery or not, its an issue that persists for me

my sodium serum was a little high, i guess cut back on the salt?? although my doc didnt say anything about it.

also my vitamin D was slightly low but im now taking calcium with vitamin D in it, and again doc did not comment, so hope that continues OK

i see my surgeon in November and will see if he has any other thoughts.

overall im feeling happy with the results, my iron which was very low in Feb of this year seems to be just fine now so im thinking that might have been cause i was also sick with a horrible cold at the time the labs were taken.

if anyone has any thoughts, i always welcome comments, with our collective wisdom i know we will all do OK

I'm going to PM you Vitalady's schedule for RNY vitamins.  From the looks of her list, the D in your calcium is not going to be enough to help your D levels.

Did they run a ferritin?  I think this is the most important iron test as it is your iron stores.

If your D is low, I would take a separate dry Vit D with your calcium.  Vitalady.com sells dry Vit D.

 Probably a bad time of year to suggest this, but one of nature's best ways to help with vitamin D absorption in sunlight!  I had low D in May and spent about 20-30 minutes every day this summer in the sunlight (with sunscreen) and it really helped!
