5 day Pouch Testers... how did it go?
HI - It went ok, but not great. I basically followed the plan, but after the 2nd day, didn't follow it strictly. That being said, it did help a lot. I am not craving the carbs, and I am back to eating mostly protein. I lost 3 lbs, and I am feeling better about my food choices and my portion sizes. The one thing that it seem to do was to get me back to the no more than 1 cup portions - and most are less than that. My pouch does seem smaller, and I am not as hungry as before, so I am grateful. So - I did ok, and got the result I needed - even if I messed up after 2 days. I can only imaging how it would have been if I had followed it strictly. I amy do it again in a few weeks - just to see. Thanks so much for asking. Sorry I didn't post sooner - it was a crazy busy week! Have a great day!

I got started Wed, and was really successful, in that I'm not craving the carbs anymore, which is where I was going wrong for the past few years (I'm 5 yrs post op, lost 130, then gained almost half back). Now, when I'm really hungry, I've been going for a leftover pork chop or cottage cheese instead of chips or toast. Since I don't have a scale, and must rely on the one at my doctor's office when I go this Wednesday, I don't know how the number are, but I feel better. I'm glad to see so many people posting that the pouch and bypass can still work. I thought I had blown it for life. I have a renewed motivation. Good luck to everyone who is trying to get back on track.
