carbs & calories on 5DPT
I have done the 5DPT but have a question.
Doesn't cream soups, bean soup & such have a lot of carbs in them?
This is a must for the 1st 2 days on the 5DPT.
also calories. How many are we aiming for ? Does it matter how many cal & carbs we get ?
I thought the purpose of the 5DPT was to help you get off carbs & back to the basics. How can this be if the 1st 2 days are all carbs ?

I did not use any bean soups when doing the 5dpt. I agree that I needed to de-carb so I tried to keep my carbs lower, but I don't believe that carbs or calories are to be counted. It says to eat (or drink, LOL) whenever you're hungry and not to worry about the calories b/c this test is really meant to reset the pouch, not to lose weight. For me to completely reset myself, I needed to de-carb in a BIG way, so that's how I did it. Others that don't need to de-carb can use the bean soups and such with no problems I would think.
