I am almost 3 years out and I do feel hunger at times. Especally around my monthly cycle when I can crave and feel extreamly hungry for dense protein like steak, chicken, and fish. I know it is not head hunger because my tummy actually growls and feels empty. I guess everyone is different. I wish that i did not feel hungry as much....

I feel hunger mainly due to hormonal fluctuations and also stress, ie. Head hunger.  I also eat by the clock more or less and keep myself from passing out that way.  It's a delicate balance, before surgery I could never ever get full and now I never feel hunger.  Due to my food addiction this works for me, but there must be a better balance.

I started feeling physical hunger at 6 months out! It has never stopped. Now at 3.5 yrs out my hunger is more often and more intense. You have no idea how badly i wish i had no physical hunger!!!!! In fact the other day, i was so hungry my sides hurt. It felt like my ribs were going to cave in. This is exactly the way i felt prior to surgery when i would fast. SO yes my hunger is back with a revenge!
