Re:Help! Still trying to lose the same 50 pounds...AGAIN!!
I want to thank all of you who answered
my post. It was my first. I was thrilled to
have so many replys. It helped to know
that others are having some of the same problems.
Losing down to 135 was so wonderful; then to see
my weight zip quickly up 10 pounds at a time, almost weekly
until I was up to almost 200 AGAIN!! I told myself I would
not get to 200 AGAIN, so I did, somehow, get back to187.
Anyone else want to share similar stories? Even if you haven't
found a solution yet. Maybe just discussing this will help.
Thankts to all. More soon. From Kathy
Hello. I am almost 5 years out and I have regained 60 pounds. I got pregnant 2 years ago and then after I gave birth my thyroid began to have problems. I have been taking medication for it for a year now and I still have 50 pounds to go. I just cannot seem to get this weight back off and I am pretty frustrated over it. I swore to myself that I would not gain back the weight and since it was due to pregnancy I figured it should be easy to lose. NOT.....Anyhow, I have lost 10 pounds but it has been a struggle. Thanks for posting. Laura
Hi gals,
You have all been sucessful at one time and will be again. Let's be even more honest...
What foods are you eating? Are you drinking dietpop/soda/alcohol???
Do you exercise? Are you going to a Bariatric support group in your area?
It helps to post but we also have to be pro-active. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet. It's so easy to slip back into old habits...did you slip back into a more sedentary lifestyle? Now if you gained weight during pregnancy, that's a whole different ball of wax, chasing kids around, being a mom and taking time for yourself is hard to do...but you have to take care of yourself first. Be kind to yourself right now, look into the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful, a success and from now on, each day will be a better day for you because your going up the road to a healthy life-style change.
Good luck, you can do this, keep posting. Sometimes just admitting you need help is the first step to maintaining your new healthy life-style.
