Help! I need to lose about 50 pounds -- AGAIN!

Hello there... lol I had to send you a little reply-I get so frusturated when I post sometimes..you ask a question clear as day and post what you DON'T want to hear, and you get the hopeless responces that really don't tell you anything! lol ANYWHOO I  can and currently do relate-I have 30 to get off-never regaind, just short of my goal. I am FINALLY stepping it up and taking charge to get er' done! I have decided to try that 5 day test business and see what happens. I think we have to kick EXTRA ass having had the surgery-our body gets used to an already ridiculously low calorie count so it's not like we will see the numbers move when we cut back like normal* people when they cut back... so don't get all wrapped up in the numbers. I honestly think it's a matter of exercise-we already can't overet so it's activity that we need to focus on, and just eating less. THUS the 5 day pouch should get Peter-Pouch- as I like to refer to him as- back to it's original little egg shaped thing and give me some control-add in some daily exercise and the numbers are bound to move. The test is pretty outline with what you can have so you don't have t think too hard or screw up easily.. if you wanna partner in crime I'd be thrilled to try this together and see where we can get! Maybe then we'll be the somebodies on here that can actually give an answer when someone asks!

I WANT A PARTNER IN CRIME TO DO THIS 5 DPT!  I have tried to do it so many other times, without much success.  I have had 20 ounces of protein this morning and some cranberry juice, I have my 64 ounces of water sitting here in front of me..........let me know if you would like to join me!!

Hey Holly Girl-Let's do this! I did not get a chance to grocery shop until this morning for the 5DPT so naturally I could not start today since I had Combos for breakfast! lol SO I am going to start Tuesday! I bought a 6pk of slim fast because I hate making the shakes myself all the time, plus strawberries and cream is SO good nice n cold! I bought some soups- that;s the weird part-soup is NOT the best diet option ESPECIALLY cream... carbs and fat and sodium! So I opted for some healthy ones even if they have meat n noodle peices... I can't swallow a can of cream poatoe... goes against my carb beliefs! lol SO I also decided depending on how this goes I may extend my liquid days thru the week- I just really want get a kick in the ass with the scale before moving to the next step! Let me know how you are doing yours-then I will know what to expect! PM me so we don't loose the posts in the forums, talk to you soon!

I did REALLY well all day long yesterday....got home from work, had some SF pudding and SF popsicle, then I got a horrible stomach ache....never experienced anything like it before, so I ate a hard boiled egg and a few peanuts and I felt better.....could it have just been hunger???    So, I think I am going to just try to really keep my day with protein liquids.....I did bring some yogurt with me to work today and a few peanuts.....I did wonderful getting all my water in, but that usually isn't a problem for me.....how is today going for you????

So I think I will start Monday! lol Not because I want fatty days but I decided to tweak the diet and to eat sensible and avoid the soups-I just can't see myself with that cream soup and be loosing weight! If anything it will come back as soon as I reintro real food, SO I am going to do the shakes x2 meals a day, no snack and a good protein.low cal dinner. SF Jello only and even limits my dairy...AND EXERCISE of course! I ned to shop because I filled the cabinets with that damn soup! NUTS! Excllant idea, another tihing I will get...so Monday it is! I am glad to hear you've maintained discipline, god for you! Keep it going and at least your seeing what does and does not work. I want something I can do daily, not for a day or two

Ok, I am going to continue doing what I am doing, although I went to Pizza Hut for lunch today!  UGH!  I didn't eat the crust, just the meat off the top of two pieces!  Not sure if that is good or bad!!  I would love to start with you on Monday, let me know how you plan to tweak the diet......I try to do the protein shakes for breakfast because I am not a real breakfast person and then one for snack.....I am just so damn scared to going backwards!!  You can email me at [email protected] if you would like.....sometimes I forget to check the board here!!!  Old age!!!  LOL....

I have been drinking 52 grams of protein shake first thing in the morning....well, it actually takes me a couple of hours to get it down, but then when I get home at suppertime I am not near as hungry as I was before!!!  What are your plans to start on Monday???

I had my surgery in 2001 and origonally lost 100 pounds-- I have regained 50 pounds and several clothing sizes--I am trying to find a walking buddy now-- Just wondering  what the 5 day pouch test is?

Hey, that website is a good outline for the pouch test-but I think it is moe of a fad diet if your trying to loose weight. A liquid diet almost always guarentees re-gain once food is reintroduced. SO I have decided to take snipits from the site-I am definatly pushing protein and will substitute 2 meals with shakes and have a good protein, low cal dinner. No snacks, no extra cals, except SF Jell-o. The websites says to have cream soups, and i dont care what diet your on, cream soups are NEVER good! Fat, carbs, sodium, no way Jose! I think this is a good way to retrain the pouch and get the scale moving and avoid re-gain! I am startng Monday!
