I am hoping maybe someone has had these symptoms and has some input.
After having really bad pain last week and my usual abdominal pain this week...worse in the evening and early morning. I have a very ill MIL and am trying to just figure this out a little bit so as not to alarm my husband. He is her major caretaker and is currently in the hospital under the care of a pathetic excuse for a surgeon. It makes me more adamant that I want anything regarding my stomach to be dealt with by the surgeon who did my surgery and at least cares about his patients....anyway here is the story
This has happened before but not for this long. In the morning when I wake up and use the restroom the best description of my poop is floating brown sludge. (gross I know.) Lots of liquid but this as well. After 5-6 times of that as the day wears on and I use the restroom it becomes pieces the size of yarn still floating and coming out with a blast of gas. Mostly the water is dark brown but as the day wears on there is often a bit of white film. I kind of thought I would lose weight with this but not sure that is happening. My appetite is down quite a bit. Like yesterday I ate a banana, a bowl of oatmeal, a part of a reuban sandwich (kind of picked off the meat), 3 small cookies, and a protein shake with strawberries and blueberries in it. (Kind of a thick slushy that is my dinner these days) I change what I eat everyday and this doe snot appear to be food related. I usually eat a salad, soup or tuna sandwich for lunch. The reuban was a whim!!
I have had a colonoscopy a year ago, multiple CT scans and an EGD in July. The pain I have is usually on my right side although it is expanding to be more mid abdomen now. I was given a Pancrease MT 10 prescription because there was film in the toilet. I think it really increased my eating so take it only once a day.
Obviously if the pain became unbearable (I do have pain meds) I would call my surgeon. But this just seems so weird and is new. This all started out as constipation!!
