Internal hernia anyone? What were your symptoms?
Thanks! Mine is more left upper quadrant right under the ribs; radiates right through to my back and upper left scapula. Surgeon wants to treat it medically for now rather than do the exploratory lap. Meanwhile I am in pain and wish they could find out what the heck is causing it. I may try to go back to work tomorrow but I hate to go back and then have to be out again. Very frustrating.
Wow...all these issues sound so familiar. I'm six years out almost and i've been having URQ pain for close to two months. I've had so many tests done and apparently from what the dr. told me they are all normal. Well i know the difference with what is normal and what isn't with my body. I've never had this type of pain before. I thought it could be my gallbladder but the more i read, the more it sounds like an internal hernia. I called my surgeon and left a msg. about all of what is going on. I hope to hear something tomorrow. I have an appt. Monday regardless. I am always in pain now and I am not taking anything. I was told from my GI doc. not to take anything for pain especially Lortab because it just masks the symptoms and you'll never get better. Then again he thinks it's Functional GI Disorder. I think NOT!
Oh oh...I did notice that this happened after I was working out everyday very hard so I wonder if that had anything to do with it?
