First Day of Liquids
It makes me so sad that I wasn't one of the ones that was able to completely change my relationship with food. I felt that I had changed for a while, because I would eat fresh fruit instead of candy or other sweets. That progressed just like any other food addiction would in my life. Before I knew it I was eating like five pieces of fruit a day - which means less room for protein. I've started using fitday.com again. I hate hate hate logging my food, because I feel I obsess about it more. I'm logging my food, because I know I need to see the total numbers at the end of the day and the carb percentage compared to fat and protein.
I suppose this is my journey. It's certainly not easy, but it is my journey to do what I will with it. The good news is that I am exercising, so all is not lost. Wish me well on three days of liquid.

I am 13 months post-op this month too. I have had times when I felt like I could eat ,and eat, and eat, not all in one sitting, but then sometimes I feel like I could hardly eat at all. I just take one day at a time. I definitely stay away from sweets and bread. When I do treat myself to something as far as a bgr, or some kind of side dish I just eat in moderation. So far I am actually still losing. I did have an extra procedure done along with my RNY, my surgeon put an extra band around my new stomach(not the lap band)it is made out of some kind of mesh material in which my pouch will only stretch but so far, so I still feel like am restricted as I did in the beginning. I can eat a little more some days than others. If am able to eat my food, without feeling an enormous amount of restriction, that is a good day. I had a good day yesterday.

Beeg, as you know, I'm 13 months out, and still losing, albeit verrrrry slowly. I have tracked my intake since Jump Street, kept a balance of 40% protein/ 30% carbs/ 30% fat, and so far haven't had any problems-- so I hope not to have to resort to restarts and pouch tests and the like. I wish you the best of luck, and agree with you-- accounting works!
