Anyone out there Regret their Lap Band Surgery, or have gained their weight back?

Hi, It sounds like we have the same feelings and worries about it. How are feeling now that it's only 2 weeks to go? I am getting nervous mainly because I was told to lose 14 pounds and  I have only lost  about  8 of it. I've been hungrier then ever and just worry that I won't lose what I need to... I am a wreck....Do you have a weight loss requirement?

Becky, I have no weight lose requirement, I don't even have to be on a liquie diet!  They just said that the week before surgery to go on high protein low carb diet. They want me to get 80 grams of protein in. I think 8 pounds is great, and you still have time, I would think you should be ok, but that is me, I am not a doctor, lol. I really have been very busy so not to awful nervous, I have been watching my grandaughter she is 3 and very busy! I know why God doesn't let us old people have babies I could never keep up with them again. Hope everything goes well for you write me if you want to talk, we will both be in the same boat soon. :Tracey, You are lucky that you don't have the weight loss requirement, it's been hard and I sure hope they don't refuse my surgery if I don't lose enough... I'll be glad when it's all over cuz this whole process has been very stressful, confusing & emotional for me.

I agree about it be soo stressful, I figured I would have had my surgery by June at the latest, but with the shrink holding things up it is three months later. I have decided had I had it  done in June I would have had to stay out of the pool the whole summer and that would have killed me. God does work in mysterious ways, and he is in charge and knows best. So I have decided to let him lead my way and what happens will be in his hands. Keep your head up and with prayers coming your way I am sure everything will work out for you also. I am plannin on taking my husbands lap top with me so I will post when I am out of surgery.
