I have a question!!!
Hi Everyone,
I read all the posts from people about gaining the weight back, and it scares me. I am a little over a year out, and I still can not eat that much. I am still losing, not as fast as I did in the beginning, but am still losing. I had an extra procedure done with my RNY, where an extra band was put around my stomach in order to stop my stomach from stretching out like it used to be. I don't see how I will ever gain the weight back, when I can hardly eat that much, and it has already been a year already. My question is has anyone had this added procedure?, and at a year out did they still feel like they could not eat that much? Also did anyone with this added procedure eventually gain the weight back? I was just wondering what I have too look forward to in the future.

Its the soft mushy foods that get people into trouble. And eating sugar again. Its too much carbs, too little protein, no or little vitamins and no exercise that cause problems, and not going to support groups for accountability.
Its when people think this is a magic surgery and don't keep up with the maintenance that they fail.
If you stick to the plan, take vitamins and watch your labs like a fiend, if you keep supplementing protein and eating protein, fruits, veges, then carbs....and exercise, well shouldn't have too much a problem.
Most everyone does have about at 10% pop up in weight. body adjusting, etc. But that's expected.
I did not have an extra band done, and I can only eat little amounts, but I could sabbatage myself big time if I chose to. But I keep going to support group and check here everyday, because I know I'm a food aholic.
By the way, I praise God for your safety and provision with your car. Watch that neck, it can be sore a very long t ime.
blessings to you,
tami
