Accountability - Wednesday

It is far too nice out to be inside today. I wish I could take my computer and work outside...lol

Yesterday's fuel:

B: Kashi honey almond flax bar
S: 2 corn thins with 2 tsp. cashew macadamia butter
L: Beef taco with lettuce, cheese, and tomato
S: Apple
D: 3 oz. lightly breaded pork chop
S: gingerbread

Getting more iron in is progressively easier. I know that I need to be better about the carbohydrates, but some days I'm just whiny and stubborn.

If you can do beef, try adding a slice of tomato to your beef patty...and then eat more beef. When you add the tomatoes the iron you get from the beef quadruples...I did that when i was pregnant with my son and couldn't take the iron rich pre-natals...Those things bound me up like a BRICK...

I sure feel the whiny and stubborn thing today. I didn't want to split up some work for before and after lunch...didn't want to sit around here and eat lunch so I didn't eat at all and went shopping. I'm whiny and obsessive and stamping my feet. I need a pre-school nap, I think...

One of my favorite things in the world is a dish called Steak Nancini. It's basically a steak cooked medium rare and topped with very fresh tomato and fresh mozzarella broiled until it melts and browns a bit. I eat tomatoes with just about anything. I just wish they weren't so depressingly flavorless in the winter.

A pre-school nap sounds good. How come we don't get those at work? I'd bring my own mat!

I always remember I have SF popsicles when I see someone posts it...They're from two years ago..I think I may have to break me out one of those tonight...It's another hot one and I'm cranky.

Good work on the tons of water. Summer is still hanging on so I know everyone needs more water no matter how much they're getting.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

I add 1/4 cup of it to my instant oatmeal or hot cereal and cook it. I soak it in salsa and add cheese to it or just use it as adip for chips. I also put it on top of my yogurt to add a nutty crunch to that...

It has a semi-nutty flavor to it that can go either way, sweet or savory...
