Did You Move To Lose Today? Meeting your goals?
Hey Everyone
Well yesterday went pretty well...my little goal was to get all my water in as that really helps with snacking and feeling full. I was able to do so. I also returned to mydailyplate so that was another good goal to meet.
Rocky and I went for a walk this morning and I am going to the Y tonight.
So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today? Come on in and share how you are doing with your goals and what you are doing exercise wise to keep your "winning" streak going
Stay Sassy, Sexy and Strong
Take care,
Kathy

Hi Kathy & others,
I've been back on track for a week now. I didn't post goals on my profile, but basically, I'm getting back to basics!
First, I had gotten to the point where I was drinking Diet Coke almost all day.
I know better, but I got hooked again. The first couple days I had headaches, but I'm doing OK now. Still want one, but I've just been concentrating on getting in my water and Crystal Light like I used to.
Next, I'm eating like I should be! Nothing gimmicky--just eating pretty much like I was at about 9-12 mo. post-op--protein first, veggies, fruit, little bit of whole wheat bread, healthy snacks. Y'all don't even want to know how horrendous my food choices had become. It was quite as bad as pre-op, but I'm ashamed at how close. I'm eating appropriate portions as well.
Started using thedailyplate.com, which I much prefer to fitday.com. This journaling my food & portions may be boring, but it's SUCH a good way to stay honest. (That is, if you ARE honest with it; unfortunately, many times in the past, I simply didn't list things when I ate too much or "bad things"!)
Finally, I'm exercising again. I exercised faithfully from right after surgery 4 years ago until this past winter, when I gradually slacked off, and by spring, I wasn't going to the gym, walking, biking, or anything. So I'm starting small--hard to believe how ungodly out of shape I am. I'm just walking 30-40 min. this past week--still haven't been to the gym--and am not walking as vigorously as I once did, but . . . gotta just do what I can do right now, and it will come.
I feel so much better after only a week. I don't know why I let myself go--I feel terrible mentally & physically when I do. Guess that's the nature of food addiction.

Always,

I did day i of week 2 of the couch to 5 k program I started last week. I walked for 5 minutes at 3.5 mph then alternately jogged at 4.8 mph for 90 seconds then walked at 3.8 mph for a total of 45 minutes, 3.17 miles. My goal is to finish this program and be able to run a 5 K on Thanksgiving at the YMCA.I took Monday off did Zumba yesterday and will do zumba again tomorrow and then day 2 of week 2 couch to 5k Friday and Zumba Saturday and Sunday. I need to get day three in there as well somewhere. I have journaled in the daily plate the last three weeks; the longest I have ever done; it really does help. Hope every one is having a great week!
