Good morning all

Wanted to update you all on my week ( 5DPT) I weighed in this morning and I'm proud to announce that I'm down 6lbs .....what a blessing I haven't loss any weight in the last year and half, so to have dropped those few pounds really felt good.I also can't eat as much as I did last week ,and I do feel that tight sensation when I consume a small amount of food. I will continue with a high protein low carb diet and kick boxing so I can get the 30 lbs regain back off and then another 20 lbs so I can get to the goal I never made it to. So I have about 44 lbs to dropped and I know I can do it. I expect to hit my goal by the the new year.....

Thanks,
Shanita

Hi MZ Shoog,

I've been watching all your posts concerning your 5-DPT this past week. Boy, you've seen it through. I've tried this diet several times and never make it through. I have gained about 15 lbs, in which I'm just sick over plus I never made it to goal, all in all, I need to lose about 20 lbs. You have encouraged me. I've seen no weight loss successes this past year. I'm ready to get serious. I love this "GRAD" board, I can honestly say it is my biggest source of support.  You have done very, very, very well... But, man, I'm really struggling and so disappointed in myself. But like you I have to pick myself up by the bootstraps and move on.

Oh Kathy that was so sweet of you.....

You honestly can do it....not for sure if you know my history, i talk about it alot on here. I had surgery 10/2005 alomost 3 years out... I never took a vitamin or dranked a protein shake, and I was so disappointed in myself for failing to take care of my body.... my only concern was getting off the weight,  and being 23 yrs old taking vitamins for the rest of my life was the last thing on my agenda. I'm now 26 years and realize that I have a son I have to be here for I can't conitune to do this to myself.....that's when I came back here for support and was so ashamed of my self that I rarely posted up until recently. I went to see my nut/ surgeon and they wanted to put me on a liquid diet (OPTIFAST) for 2 months to try and get the weight off, instead of helping me and letting me know what was good for me and what was not, but I decided against that....I read up on the 5 DPT here and on www.5daypouchtest.com and said I have to do this. True it did take a month or so for me to really say this is it I'm about to do this and that was 8/4 when I started turning my life back around. I know take my vitamins religiously,  protein first, and I exercise 3 x a week.... Who would have ever thought I would be exercising and enjoying it...LOL.... I also wait 30 mins before and after I eat something and I never did because all the weight was just falling off. You can doing it......

God Bless
Shanita

Hi Shanita,

Just wanted to say this post is a true inspiration. I've let myself get pretty far off track, sometimes I wonder if I can ever get right.. lol This gives me hope :)

Hi Katrina

You all make me feel so proud of myself, just last week I was crying my eyes out thinking I can't do this I am  WLS failure... and look at me today in the process of changing my life around. Katrina whenever you are ready I will do it w/you that way wecan motivate each other, just let me know ahead of time so I can get prepared. ALso on the BAF they always do what's called the protein train much easier than 5DPT and you get results as well. I mentioned it in my first 5DPT update but I will be glad to send it you.

Thanks,
Shanita

I made it 1/2 through the first day of the 5DPT. It's not easy, thats for sure.
I would love more information on the protein train; especially if its easier than the 5DPT.

Congratulations! I bet it feels good to be in control again...
