Good plan. If you know you're gonna snack at a certain time, give yourself only good options...It really works.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I count the water as a snack...It makes me feel like I'm eating more..LOL. The mind games I play with myself! Good numbers. Really good numbers. Keep up the good work!

Good morning friends. I got my package of protein powder samples from vitalady yesterday AND took a trip to Vitamin Shoppe, so I'm loaded up with new things to bake with this weekend. I'll post anything that comes out tasting like food on my blog..lol.

Wednesday fuel:

B: 1/2 zone perfect chocolate fudge graham bar

S: 1 medium carrot, 5 grapes, 3 strawberries, and 1 blackberry. (We had a going away party at work and I was surrounded by pastries, giant bagels, and full fat cream cheese. Thank God the fruit was there...)

L: lentil-veggie loaf w. marinara sauce (I'm planning to make a new one this weekend. Going to use tofu or black beans this time...maybe both)

S: 2 corn thins with 2 tsp. cashew macadamia butter sandwiched between them. (Another going away party! And this time it was ice cream sundaes. The WLS gods were testing me...)

D: Crunchy steak taco with tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and mushrooms from Moe's. (I love that you can customize the specifice nutrition info for your meal on their website)

S: 2 tsp. cashew macadamia butter between 2 corn thins and 1/4 of a chocolate-peanut butter power crunch bar.

I'm having blood work done today, so wish me luck please. I can't supplement iron due to an anaphylactic reaction and it's always a challenge to get enough in food-wise.

I've been off of the "Zone" for a while. When I was first out I had one of their pre-made shakes and I dumped on it BIG time...So Zone=Barf in my pouches "mind"...LOL

I ate carrots yesterday and they stuck in my pouch for a long LONG time...

Don't you just hate those will-power tests? When the girls have birthday cakes (and it seems like every WEEK they have one) I grab two SF cookies and nibble while they shovel heaps and mounds into their big-mouth-bass-like gaps.

Another taco Wednesday! Woo Hoo...So many with the same thought! Good choices from what I can see!

Good luck on the blood work. I had some last week and I'm waiting for the results. woo - hoo (half heartedly)

"Big mouth bass like gaps" gave me a chuckle. When I was eating the corn thins/cashew macadamia butter (which I could eat with a spoon if it weren't so fattening), people kept asking if I was on a diet. I was like, "No...I just really like this stuff." That always gets a bizarre look or two.

I don't DO diets. That mindset is what got me to 280 in the first place. I DO a lifestyle.

Yes, "woo-hoo" for bloodwork. I'll just be happy if my hematocrit makes it to 30 this time.

Being in an office with a bunch of diabetics I just say, I'm diabetic and can't eat that stuff...they understand but are not willing to change the way they eat. It makes them think about it anyway. I think some day they may figure if I can do it (eat right) they can too and maybe I've made a difference as just an example. Maybe.

Ah yes, the diabetes defense. I use that one from time to time. I've used lactose-intolerant at the occasional ice cream social...lol.
