I had my RNY on Nov. 5, 2005...had lost 158 pounds...but....have gained about 12 pounds back.  I remember reading about a plan on this site that is supposed to give you a jump start...I think it last about 5 days....does anyone know what I am talking about.

Hi............Sorry you're having a problem, but really......what great success.  Just 12 pounds over 5 years!  What a great job!  The plan you're talking about is the 5 day pouch test.  Works great.  The site has great recipes and a chat site as well.  Very good site.  go to www.5daypouchtest.com.  Good luck and hang in there.  Tgarr

You have the link above to the 5dpt and it might be worth giving it a try. 12lbs is annoying (I know first hand, LOL),but it is manageable. I've found getting back to basics, only consuming good carbs and eliminating the bad ones, tracking my food/exercise at thedailyplate.com and getting plenty of water helps me to get back on the right track and drop the excess pretty easily. I have done the 5dpt 2x's successfully, but didn't feel the restriction afterwards that some people post about. Good Luck and keep us posted on how its going!

What about exercise? 12 pounds is not alot of weight since you had a large weight loss . We are in the same WLS class. I don't worry about gaining weight because I have a daily workout schedule where I do different group fitness classes throughout the week  at my gym like:
Body Pump
Body Step
RPM
Hip Hop Abs
Kick Boxing
Knock out Boxing
Pilates
Boot Camp
Extreme Personal Training

I found that attending classes at my gym has help with building self confidence that I will continue to defeat my issues that caused weight gain.

The biggest confidence booster was last year when I won the am fitness challenge at my gym.

Best wishes,
