Friday Weigh-in!

Good Day everyone,

Well I had a good week. Saw my surgeon, Dr. Nichols, for my 1 year out checkup. Labs were good. I had been low on iron, but have added 36mg of supplement. My iron levels went up! However, I am a little low on protein. I have been changing my protein/carb ratio to get in more protein. The problem with that? I have lost 3 pounds this week!

Last week: 120
This week: 117

It's okay to loose some more, but I am pretty happy at 120.

Wow! Good job keeping up with your labs! I had low protein at 1 year out--I was shocked! I think that we just have to be ever vigilant and all will be well!

Yes we do have to stay vigilant. I was surprised at the low protein as well. I thought I was eating plenty. I think I was adding more carbs and reducing protein. I am back on my shakes because I get 30 grams in one meal there. Unfortunately my glass jar broke, so i am unable to make my favorite protein drink for now. [ Backordered jar when ordered online ]

It looks like everyone did great this week. Everyone have a good next week.

I haven't had a good week  but I won't complain to you all.
Not sure what last week was but this morning I was 121.4 which I know is a gain.  I'm supposed to be maintaining or gaining but I'm so double minded about it.  I want to stay healthy but I just so want the scale to keep going DOWN!!

I've really had to deal with that, too. I play little mind games with myself--can I get smaller? What would I look like in the 140s, etc. etc. When I tell people I weigh 155, they always say, "Well, you certainly don't look like it." And I'm like, WHAT? What's wrong with 155. I am 5 feet 10 inches tall! I am not fat! 155 is NOT fat! Are you calling me fat? And hey, am I fat? Is 155 fat?

Losing weight sure is exciting. Maintaining---well, it's standing still, isn't it? :-) Keep your chin up!

I am still recovering from my PS. So this weight loss is showing up from what was taken off during surgery two weeks ago.

Last week 154

this week 151

Even though I seem swollen, there has been a loss and I am very pleased.

This is an all time low for me.

I am sure that I will love the results after I am all healed up, having a little problem with incision healing.
