OMG! I'm an athlete????

Holy Moly! Okay--I know I exercise a lot, and I know that I've run some races, but I never, NEVER, never in my whole life have been called or considered myself an athlete. I am the fat girl. Picked last? Hah! Not picked at all!!! NO LONGER!

I'm not the fat girl any more. Ever since I ran that first 38 seconds on the treadmill (and hit the emergency stop button so I wouldn't fly off into the machines behind me), I started thinking. It's so hard to make the right choices most of the time (forget all of the time). It's so hard to exercise, especially when you feel like your thighs are going to start a fire from rubbing together as you walk! It's painful to workout when you feel like people are staring/judging you. At least it was for me. But now, I'm addicted. I love it. I love to sweat. I love feeling my muscles. I love having muscles that you can see! I've started helping girls at my gym--until I show them pictures, they cannot believe that I used to weigh 278. I started thinking, about a year ago, that I could really help people. I can show them how to exercise to improve their bodies; I can run down the road with them and whisper encouragement around the bend!

Well, girls. I did it! I've been studying like crazy and taking classes on everything I can, and I have done my certification! My DH and I are getting ready to open a personal training studio and I have clients already! OMG! :-) Me, the fat girl!?

I just wanted to share with you guys now that it's actually becoming a reality! Woo hoo!

That's fantastic!!!!! I am so happy for you!!!! The thing is, you will have the ability to REALLY help people to make changes in their lives. You will help them to improve their health, self-esteem, self-worth and more!!! They will come to you b/c you've been there before and you understand the struggle first hand~that will make you compassionate and kind, yet tough and encouraging. Wow, Congratulations and Good Luck!!!!!!!

Wow!  SHOULD feel accomplished, and I am sending you good vibes for your business to work out!  What a step to take.  You will be such a blessing to those who have walked in your shoes.  It is always nicer to know you are working with someone who understands.  I just rode my bike for 1/2 hour and man I feel it!  I am no where near where you are!  Maybe in a year or 2?  Well, I was thinking I would go out and jog a bit...this is motivation...did I hear you "whisper encouragement around the bend" to me?  LOL!
