Hunger sensation....too MUCH water??????
I dont know IF I really ever experience TRUE HUNGER -
I know I have head hunger and eat for emotional reasons.
I eat way too often emotionally to ever worry about not eating enough, but
I do worry about not feeling hungry.
Have I just ignored it for so many years that my body doesnt do that
anymore????
I dont do this really ever but the other day I did...
I could go all day sometimes and never be hungry until 9 or 10 at night
and the only reason I would eat is because I would feel nauseous.
I DO drink tons of water sometimes 10-12 1/2 liter bottles of water
in a day.
Does anyone think that I am missing hunger cues because I am drinking so
much water?
I do eat usually power crunch bars (LOVE the triple chocolate and peanut butter creme!!! - from COSTCO - such a good deal too OMG), atkins chocolate peanut butter morning granola bars hey(mostly because of the fiber NOT the quality of the protein... and they dont taste icky to me.
Fiber is the ONE thing that power crunch bars dont give me and they are a little high in calories for how much they fill you up. otherwise WHO knew a protein bar could be yummy??
string cheese and plenty of other stuff that I shouldnt eat...depending on the day and Time of month.....I do take iron, several sublingual b-12s per day from trader joes and an adult dose of kids gummy vitamins daily =- the only thing that my doc ever said that was low was iron and I am on that and potassium, but I am working to get that in food like the power crunch bars has almost 200 mg each in them. IF I can find potassium that I can stand taking I will get some but right now I hate the one that she prescribed and cant find another one just yet..
I usually eat plenty of cheese so I dont take calcium but reading on here I am going to start taking the bariatric advantage one for the magnesium and some vitamin D too.
thanks

You are probably lucky to not feel hungry....I feel like I am always hungry...Some of it is head hunger...I never knew what that was until I decided to stop eating carbs for a week and then I realized...AHHH that's what those cravings were...My head...But I definitely do get rumbles and achy hungry feelings for sure...But I noticed the other day, I got really hungry and drank some water and forgot to eat dinner because I got so busy (which was why i just took some water to hold me over until I could cook) It kinda surprised me because I was really hungry! So maybe water is curbing any hunger for you...I dunno. But if your weight is good and your are healthy...I might actually feel blessed not to feel hunger!
I'm anemic and magnesium deficient myself...but I do not have a problem getting hungry...I eat enough and I do not absorb my vitamins from food very well at all...I just found this out at my 4 year check up...I've been working on Iron and Mag and a few low but normal ranges of other vits for 6 months and I'll know how I did in a few weeks...I got my iron up a few points and my blood cell counts back in the normal range in two months taking Carbonyl Iron....It's good you begin taking calcium! I LOVE BA Wildcherry lozenges...I can't dissolve them though...I always end up chewing them like sour candy...LOL They have so many flavors too...I tried them all and only like the cherry...The others are just sooo sickening sweet to me...
You look great ...Was peeking at your pictures :)

Hmm,I don't know. It could be the water, although I drink a ton of water daily too and I still get hungry. I guess that sensation never returned for you. You will be one probably be one of those people that really needs to plan ahead and eat on a schedule, otherwise you will go way too long without eating and that's no good for your body or your metabolism when that happens over extended periods of time. Do you eat bananas for potassium??

Gummy vitamins are not a complete vitamin - look at what they contain versus centrum complete or even flintstones complete - you are missing out on a lot. Also why are you taking *several* b12s per day? Your body can only absorb so much... in rare (and I do mean rare) you can OD on b12, there really shouldnt be a reason for taking multiple (that I know of at least). If you are loading the b12 because you have energy issues I would attribute that more to not eating all day and starving your body of the fuel it needs to function proprely than low b12.
Not taking calicum? HUGE mistake - plenty of cheese is NOT enough calcium... you need to get on it ASAP. I would even suggest a bone dentisy test to see where you are and if youve suffered any loss from lack of taking your calcium suppliments.
I personally feel you need to get on a food schedule and stick to it - perhaps you are ignoring the hunger cues because you fear you will over eat due to your emotional ties with food... you mention you eat a lot of bars which IMO is not 'food' they are suppliments... perhaps call your surgeon/NUT get some bloodwork done and get some nutritional counceling to help you down a more healthy path, perhaps see somebody to help you develop a better mental relationship with food.
