Since having my son in 2006, I have gained back 100lbs of the 150 lbs lost.  I have attempted to lose the weight with very little sucess i.e. Weigh****chers, teas, back to basics etc.  I re-injured my back about 4 months ago, which has be a large hinderence on excersise.

Have you considered a revision to DS?  If you come on the DS forum, you'll find quite a few happy RNY to DS revisions.

Post this same thing on the Duodeanal Switch (DS) message board. I know the pain of re-gain and I wanted a surgery that would give me the best chance against it.  It is important to select a doctor experienced with revisions....
Good luck to you!

With the DS: there is no stoma, so no stoma strictures; there are no limitations (other than volume) against drinking before, during or after meals; 80% of ingested fat is malabsorbed; 98.9% of type II diabetics are CURED of this devastating disease, with data showing stable cure over 10 years out; there is the best average weight loss and most durable (average 76% excess weight loss going out 10 years) of all of the bariatric surgeries.  That's why I had a DS!

Thanks for the reply.  I will bring it up to my surgeon tomorrow.
