Good Morning, here is my Sunday, I'm going to make every effort to get back to journaling and being accountable.  I need to do it for me.  My numbers are up there today, I'm ok with it though as it did include lots of protein.  Could of done without some of the other stuff, bored and sitting around does not make for a good choice day for me.

Good morning, lovelies! I wasn't around posting this weekend because I was in Pittsburgh for a huge b-day bash for my grandma's 80th. We had a great time! And of course, being that I come from a huge Italian family I was sent back to Virginia with copious amounts of food. At least I don't have to cook for a few days!

My day yesterday was a little weird. We left Pittsburgh to drive home around 5pm (it's a 4 hour drive) and planned to stop in either Breezewood or Hagerstown for a bite to eat. We were on the PA turnpike when suddenly traffic just stopped. There was a huge accident nine miles in front of us and BOTH sides of the turnpike were closed. We sat there just gabbing with other drivers and walking up and down the highway for 2.5 hours. So we ended up just eating some of the food in the cooler, which worked out okay. Here's the damage:

Lunch: (we all got up late on Sunday after the big bash) 3oz. beef steak and grilled peppers and zucchini

Snack: Kashi Go Lean Cinnamon Coffee Cake protein bar

Dinner: 4oz. chicken breast tender, lightly breaded and oven baked.

Snack: (when we finally made it home...lol) 2 NSA fudgesicles

For a mixed up day, it wasn't so bad. Today I've got lots of protein bars and chicken in my work bag, so I'm set. Hope everyone had a fun weekend!

glad you had a fun time at the birthday bash....and oooh, being stuck on the  turnpike!!  Sounds like a scene from that detective show Monk, that I saw recently.  No murders lurking around was there??
you didnt do bad inspite of  your adventure though!!

No, not too bad. And we made the best of it! We took pictures of everyone standing around on the highway and some of the sunset in the clouds. Also, the interior of my car is now impeccably clean...lol
