Hey everyone!
So it's me again...it seems that I only have time to get on here when I feel desperate and MAKE the time!!! A any rate, I need some encouragement! As some of you may remember, I started back to school last fall, and will enter the nursing program this fall.  My life has become even more hectic than ever, but I am really enjoying it.  Nevertheless, I eat when stressed, always have, and I really need to get a grip! I still need only to lose the 10 extra pounds, but I haven't been successful yet, and I want it off.  I have clothes that need to fit, and I need to feel comfortable with myself again.  I know what to do...I just need to get boosted into doing it! Also, my blood sugar has been bottoming out often lately, and it hadn't done that much at all in the last couple of years.  I know it has a lot to do with all the bread and such I am cramming into my mouth!!! I don't overdo the sweets...it's the bread and all the other things that are not bad, but I am taking in too much.  I just need to hear from you all. You always make me feel like I'm not alone, and I feel that way right now.

Thanks for listening!!!
Hugs!!

Hi Beth,  I know how you feel...we can all be overwhelmed sometimes with life and everything around us.  We need to take times for ourselves and consentrate on what's at hand.  Sounds like you're stress eating too me.  Slow down and breath, love yourself first...get back on track.  You can do it!

Hi Beth,
You are not alone in this.  I was 2 yrs last May.  I'd been at goal for about a year.  Started on Lyrica for neuropathy.  6 days doeses is all i efr took.  i noticed pant fitting more snug and that is very scary, since I am a "tosser"  As soon as I undergrew, the lothes were out the door.  So I've got a completely new wardrobe including shoes.  Doesn't leave any wiggle room.  I gained about 7 lbs on Lyrica in a week.. Stopped that drug, ya know.  Ihave dealt with the pain it was prescribedfor over 15 yrs, but I'm sure as hell not gonna become obese again.  So, currently working on my plan.  Back to Basics for md.  healthy bradkfast (protein/fruit) mid am snack protein (prob. cheese) lunch yellowfin tuna, asparagus, fruit if room.  afternoon snack;  kashipumpkin seed flx granola bar  Dinner 2 slices deli ham, swiss slices and spicy mustard rollups.  i spear bread & butter pickle.
and or course 60-100 oz H20
This is getting me going again, and I hope to have this off by Labor Day.

Beth, you have alot going on so I can certainly understand the stress eating!!! Man,its so hard!!! But, I know for me, when I eat the wrong things, I don't feel well physically or mentally (when I eat crap, I feel like crap)and with all that you have going on and getting ready to go into nursing school you need to be at your best!!! Your right about the low blood sugar too~I was having bouts of that awhile back and it was definitely linked directly to my diet b/c as soon as I began to eat properly again, the episodes pretty much disappeared! You know what to do, now you just need to get into the right mindset to do it. And you're definitely not alone! We all struggle from time to time. Start out making some small changes and I bet before ya know it, you'll be back on the right track! Good Luck!!
