One Year Surgiversary!!!
Hi Everyone,
Well it has been a year today since I had my WL surgery. The journey has definitely had it's up's and down's. When I first had my surgery, I had a few complications, and I started to regret having the surgery. It took about 4 or 5 months before I actually started feeling better.
As each month passed I couldn't believe the weight I was losing. The one thing that is so amazing for me is that I have finally learned how to maintain my bad eating habits, something that I was never able to do. I used to live to eat, now I eat to live!!!!! I realize I may look different, but I have not changed who I am inside. All my life I felt so bad about myself because of my weight, but I realize it doesn't matter anymore as long as I always be true to myself. This surgery has given me the strength to do things I thought I would never do.
I love this WLS journey, and I pray everyday that the journey continues to give me the life that I have always wanted. For anyone who is about to have surgery, you do have to change the way you used to eat!!! This surgery will help you, but it is up to you to make it work. I am just loving life right now, and I don't want this great feeling to ever go away!!! Thanks for all the support, that everyone has given me over the past year!!! I will be taking pictures this weekend, I will be adding them to my photo album next week, I can't wait to see how different I look in one year!!!
God Bless everyone, Thanks again!!!!
