HAVE YOU HEARD OF OPTIFAST
Hi all
I was wondering if anyone heard of a product called OPTIFAST. My nut is putting me on that program under doctor's supervision. It's a liquid diet, drinking only protein premade shakes and broth, they have recently added protein bars. I have been researching the program and from what I have notice people have been very successful. I actually start tomorrow and wanted to know if anyone heard of this. The good part about it is the average weight loss is 6lbs a week... WOW I really need that right now to get me back on track. I have also read that this is what OPRAH did when she first start dropping her weight.

Yes, i HAVE heard of it. Last year, when I went on a "Time Out Program" I lost 12 pounds in 10 days. HOWEVER, as soon as I added solid foods back within a couple weeks I gained it back.
BUT, you are different because you are doing this under a nutritionist's supervision. So, please let us know how it goes.
I'd rather yo-yo diet up and down while going down all the while than be on a steady incline. So, eventhough, I have yo-yo'ed a lot I've been going down each time. Now that I lift weights it's muscle I gain not lose so that's good at least.
Anyway, i feel your pain and commend you on doing something now! That's awesome and takes a lot of courage.
