blood sugar issue

Something has been happening I don't understand. I ate a healthy dinner. Grilled chickhen and a green salad. And now it is 1 and a half hours later my BS is 55. It has happened a few times lately . Can anyone offer any info. I am almost 4 years out .Thanks Susan

I just talked to my MD today about this issue.  He said he beleives it happens to some GB patients and thinks the way to correct it is eat 5-6 times a day and eat well... I started the wagoneer program today and havent had hypo once today which is a big feat... I had it multiple times a day .  Jess

I have the same probelm when I only eat veggies and protein as you did. I did the same thing yesterday for lunch. I had scallops and a salad and my blood sugar dropped to 65. Needless to say, I had to have some carbs to get it up again. After having some chili, I was fine.

You might want to add a tiny bit of grains to each meal for the complex carbs...Even if it's just a few croutons on top of that salad...Not enough to raise your carbs all that much but enough to regulate your sugar?  Just an idea...Or a have a 1/2 slice of WW bread or toast or even a whole grain cracker?
