I take a multivitamin, B complex and give myself a B-12 injection once a month. It plummets if I just do sublingual B-12, so the injections were a real life saver for me.

I'm also really anemic, but I have an anaphylactic reaction to iron pills/infusions, so I keep a list of iron rich foods in my wallet and try to eat one with every meal.

I take Centrum multi vitamins, B complex (drops) B 12 (sublingual, under the tongue), and calcium.  I was taking Benefiber, but since I've started adding more fiber to my diet I no longer take it.  I do however, take a stool softner every now and then.

In addition to my multi and B12 and calcium and iron, I take C and fish oils (found these yummy gummy ones for both.)  I have been taking postassium since right after surgery when my surgeon called and ORDERED me to take some immediately since my levels were so low.  I recently have added D (reading Vitalady's posts) and a dissolvable B compound (my, it's nasty, precious!!!)  Probably more than I need but more or better than too little.

I also take chewable fiber tabs and colace because they keep me regular. ALso iron, vit D and zinc. Have you had labs done recently? That is whenI found out I was lacking in zinc. So yearly labs will help your surgeon or PCP determine any additional vitamins that you would need.

I take 2 multis, 1 b-12 pill (not sub), 300mg of carbonyl iron, 1000mg of vite c (taken with iron to help absorption), 8 calcium pills (recent report says all RNY patients should be taking a minimum of 1500-2400mg per day), 50k vite d (deficient), 2 b-complexes, and a zinc.

I also do 2-3 doses of fibersure (5g fiber versus 3 in benefiber) each day.

All of these amounts are based from research I've done on my own.  Other than my D being low, all my numbers are perfect.

Lab results are the only true way to tell how your body is doing with vitamins. My labs showed low levels of D, score of 8. Prescription levels of D (3 times) finally brought the level to a high of 14.  I changed to a liquid vitamins and my D levels ended up at 33 at 2 years out, with no other D supplements. I now take an additional 5000 IU D supplement due to recent studies showing levels of D should be 70 or above. Over half of the US population is either low or severely low on D levels. Check your labs and augment your vitamin intake with additional supplements or increase your food intake with specific foods that are rich in your deficient vitamin, possibly both. DAVE

Has anyone heard of Health-Tech, Vitamin B-12 strips?  I'm trying to find out how many miligrams per strip are in these.   Does anyone here take these?
