Advice
Hi Everyone,
I'm 27...I had gastric bypass surgery about 3 years ago.
I was 350 when I had the surgery and got down to 198, unfortunately, I have gained back some weight and now I ma weighing at 235. I am desperate to get down to 198 again. I really don't think I am eating large portions and keeping everything mostly protein based.
I can't access the gym right now as I recently had knee surgery bc of a torn ACL.
My daily diet goes pretty much like this
Coffee
Breakfast at 10:30am , 1/2 chicken sausage grilled, 2 hard boiled eggwhites, half a nectarine
coffee, water
Lunch: 4-5 oz grilled chicken and 3 oz buternut squash or mashed turnip or a salad
Snack: some cherries, or celery sticks, iced coffee, water
Dinner: 3 oz. protein, 3 oz. veggies, small salad
maybe some fruit or veggies at night
Any ideas would be really helpful, I am trying to hard to get this going...
are you using the 30 min rule? (no liquids 30 min before or after eating), you could start adding your protein shakes in again..and make sure you are getting all of your water intake in (atleast 64oz) when is the last time you saw your doctor? had labs done?
i am 3 years out as well and found myself in the same boat..i had gained 30# ..i tried the 5 Day Pouch test...it really worked for me. here is the site if you'd like to look at it www.5daypouchtest.com
good luck and keep your head up!
-hugs-
hi
i wanted to post back to you yesterday
but, i was having trouble posting on the board - it was like "stuck" or something
anyway - i was going to say about the same thing as the other poster did. make sure you are using the 30 minute rule on drinking and you might want to try replacing a meal or two with a protien shake - that always helps me - even though sometimes i dread it - once i get it made - i'm always glad
also - make sure you are getting a little protien at each meal and that you are getting in your 6 meals a day
i usually get 5 or 6
when i get 6 i do best
