Hi everyone, i haven't posted much lately but I've been reading, I've been around! After working on it for a month, cutting out my drinking, logging my food, adding exercise..working SO hard only to gain two lbs...etc..etc.. I finally am down 5 lbs! I know that's not a LOT, but when you've been gaining 5 lbs a month for 5 months, maintained for one month, a 5 lb loss in a week and a half is a big step in the right direction! Finally all this hard work is starting to pay off, and if I stay the course there's no reason why it won't continue....right?! This website is a "Godsend" and is helping me stay that course. Thanks to everyone. I just wanted to say hi! Leslee

That is fantastic! Good for you. 5lbs in a  month is great. Just imagine where you will be in 6 months.

Keep up the good (hard) work.

Great news!  I know how discouraging it is to try so hard and see the scale go UP rather than down.  Good for you that you stuck it out.

You go girl!  Five pounds is great - keep up the fantastic work, and keep coming back for support, encouragement, or a good swift kick in the behind (which will be administered with nothing but love!!!!!).   Kellie

I think it's MAINLY keeping my calories down and exercising to keep the deficit. I have on many days done pretty good with the wagon plan, and a couple days cut out cabs completely, and a couple days been a little out of control..but hanging in on the exercise..and for the most part it's just kinda balancing out for me I guess...I am eating a LOT less then I was a month ago, for the most part. I'm still around 1,400 to 1,600 to even 2,000 calories on some days, BUT I'm often burning upt to 1,500 calories a day from doing fliers do or to door and my spinning class and stuff...so it's not real consistant. Some days I eat GREAT and exercise moderate.. somedays I eat kinda a lot (no wagon!)and exercise a LOT, some days I eat a lot and don't exercise, some days I eat a little and don't exercise.. But it's the OVERALL picture and improvement that has finally got the scale to move I believe. I am STILL working on tweaking and trying each day to "be good" and "be better".. I am going to work on keeping the carbs down a little lower and WHEN I have carbs to be sure to balance it with protein, but I'm not sure I'm going to be 100% anything..just keep trying to do better and better, and one day hit perfection!

I do so appreciate your courage in sharing all that you have gone through.  When I see your picture I always click on so I can see how you are doing--whether up or down.   I am soooo happy for you in losing that 5lbs!!  Just to see the scales move again "down"!!  is a glorious thing. I offer you encouragement today to do your best and never hesitate to be "real" when you feel like you should--you never know whose life you will touch!! Blessings, Robin
