how many times a day do you eat?
I eat 5-6 times a day....Or I'd never eat enough protein...and I don't want to cram all that protein into three meals and make my pouch so big that if and when i decide to have a snack, I don't over do it and totally lose control, because I KNOW me...I like to push limits...and while I am very disciplined (for the most part) I still have my binges and i still find myself in a bit of indulgence now and then....
Plus being a former diabeti****pt my sugar stabilized for a long time on a 6 small meal diet... Right about the ime of surgery I became insulin dependant...So I still go by that concept except I do have three main meals and 2-3 smaller snack type meals...
I've done it this way for 4 1/2 years....No major gains...no major problems...Winter is a tough time for me...I have lesss will power with all the baked goods and holiday foods...Just like the rest of Americans who didn't have WLS! So I think that's normal!
I am in awe of y'all that know exactly how to answer this question. I have an idea each day of what and how I'll be eating, but some days it's 5-6 snacks for my meals, and other days it's a protein drink and 2 meals. I know I prefer to have numerous small meals, to honor my pouch. I try to listen to my body, and if it's hungry, I feed it. I try to stop when I'm comfortably full. I know some people either never feel hungry, or never feel full, and I think it must be much harder for them. I wish I were more organized with my eating, but I'm a bit lazy in that respect. I've been able to get below goal and stay that way for over a year with what I've been doing. I make sure to get my vitamins and water in everyday. I always have a good idea of how much protein I've consumed, and then I fill in my diet with the veggies and fruits. Every day is different for me.
