I would say 6 meals a day. Smaller than normal meals. Sometimes it's half a meal and then another half of that meal...I'm maintaining now..
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I eat 3 meals and 2-3 snacks a day.  Sometimes more if I'm having a really hungry day.  Rarely does the day go by with fewer than 2 snacks, though. I don't think I could manage 3 meals a day with no snacks - I get hungry & grumpy every 3-4 hours.  My second period class this year knew they could bring a snack with them to class, because I was definitely having one!  It made the morning bearable.

My plan calls for 3 meals and 1 snack.  But my snacks and meals are the same size.  So I guess I really eat 4 meals and 0 snacks.  LOL

I eat 6 x's a day and this includes my snacks.  I plan my meals daily and try to stick as close to the plan as I can. I log my meals and at 17 months post-op I still count my water intake, calories & the amount of protein I consume a day. I workout 4-5x's a week, and yes I'm still losing!

I eat 3 meals a day with one defined snack in the evening.  Oh, and I nosh a bit here and there on things in the 50 calorie range. I am maintaining and eat 2000 calories per day, 40% carb, 40% protein, 20% fat.  Weight training 2x a week, cardio (running) 3x per week.

Three meals and 2-3 snacks.  My snacks are in the 100 calorie range.  Of course, breakfast is also since it is my big protein drink (135 calories of Unjury (1.5 scoops) mixed with water and crytal light). I am a diabetic and find I feel better with some nutrition every 3 hours or so instead of big meals less often. Of course, I have been "known" to make a meal/snack out of wine and cheese.  (NOTE:  I am approaching three years post op!)

Humm.. My "breakfast" is the hardest to define. I've NEVER been a breakfast person, and now call a big 2 scoop protien drink my "breakfast". Easiest way to get in my protien for me, and It helps curb the later day munches. I drink brekkie, snack on something light like nuts, or a few pieces of cheese, eat a good lunch (this parts definatly important. No good healthy hearty lunch and I'm doomed to snack hades) a later day snack of again cheese or something. A smaller thinner protien drink to tide me through my worst carb carving part of the day. After noons are my weakest points. and where If I'm gonna break down and have something "bad" it's here. (Worst offenders, pringles, sweet hawiian bread, chocolate) THEN! Dinner. Before bed the rest of the protien I'm missing is filled in by either another protien shake (usually frozen and mixed) or a protien bar.  I'm eatier more now that I'm trying to either maintian or slow down the losing cycly, but I've always tried to even out the food over the day to keep the "hungries" from driving me to eat too fast. Eating fast when I'm hungry is my biggest most commen mistake and invariably leads to pouch cramps, me whining, or me being ill.

I eat between 4-6 times per day.  Depends on my workout schedule and regular life interruptions.  I eat 2 meals and the rest are more snacky type fills.  On days where I run only about 6-9 miles I am less hungry than days when I run 10+ miles.  Obviously makes sense.  I do know some old timers that can eat only 3 meals and only 1 or no snacks.  It's great that that works for them, but I would be passed out at about 2:30 in the afternoon if I did that.  LOL  No something people want to see.  It's a delicate balance for everyone.
