I personally think that following the pouch rules is the ULTIMATE forever daily plan because it's for  US and FOR life...Even when I fall off track...as soon as I get back to the basics, I get where I need to be. I've gained back 5-8 lbs in 4 1/2 years....Otherwise I have maintained 150 lbs lost ....158 at the most... Support is the biggest issue for so many and WW certainly does have that.  So does OH and probably your hospital where you had surgery.  It has been my experience that regular Non-wls people just do not "get" how we are supposed to eat or our anatomy and malabsorption issues with fat and need for protein and good carbs but no sugar... I hear WW works for some other WLS people...I don't understand how since you have to modify it to your surgery anyway and at that point it's not even WW anymore...It's pouch rules...And then to spend money to do the diet you should be doing in the first place???...but whatever works.... I wish you luck with it!  Just my opinion...

I have some WLS friends who have had real success with WW. I also know of a program through BarixClinics called Back OnTrack. It's a weekly session with a nutritionist and had behavioral modification components to it. It would probably be my first choice.

Wishing you success,

Barb
