Day 5 -- I'm happy

Good morning all, Well, I've been true to the 5dpt all week.  I must admit, the cravings are NOT gone, and it's a struggle.  But I'm learning to ride it out, so that's a good thing.  I feel full (sated) when I'm eating, but soon after I'm looking for food.  I just drink a ton of water instead.  Last nite for dinner I made turkey meatloaf--it was HORRIBLE.  I made myself eat it cause I had nothing else to eat.  Tonight is baked chicken--looking forward to seeing how that works satiety-wise. The good news...I got on the scale this a.m. and it said 125.  That's 1 lb. below goal, so I HAVE to be "good" today!  As I said, I'm finding this week difficult, and I know part of it's because I'm unemployed w/too much time on my hands! Happy 4th everyone.

Thank you Dawn.  Sounds good to me.   I had a little cottege cheese w/my meds (my doc says for absorbtion I have to take w/a small amount of food)  & I'll have a protein shake before I brave the supermarket, then 2 tuna patties when I get home, then dinner!  I will buy salad to have tomorrow--definately looking forward to that!  It's funny what we miss.  Can't wait to dig in to a nectarine! You WILL make your goal & let's both DRINKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!

YEAH!!!! GFU KAREN Im sorry things have been so hard on you lately & i can totally understand the "too much time on your hands" thing. to me that = 1) sleeping or 2) eating both simply b/c im bored. Try getting out of the house - its a beautiful day... How about a nice 6 mile walk? Im also sorry to hear about the turkey meatloaf!! thats SUCKS that it didnt come out the way you'd hoped.  Both me & the fam have had the turkey tacos, turkey burgers & turkey meatloaf & they've all been great! i cook with it just like its ground beef & use the same ingredients (- so much black pepper b/c the turkey picks up the flavors really easily). what did you put in it?

Thanks, Candace!

I used what I'd normally use in meatloaf...onions, garlic powder, but this time I added an egg and ground flax & I think that's what messed it up...it was weird texture-wise as well as flavor-wise.  Oh well!

I dont normally put egg in it & Ive only recently picked up using the ground flax. So maybe that was it!
