Hi Everyone, I am below my targeted goal that I put on my ticker since I had the surgery.  I will be a year out in 2 weeks.  I feel so good.  I lost a total of 142LBS.  I am sure I will lose more before it is all over with, but I am so excited, because I can do so many things, that I was not able do to before I had the surgery.  So far my blood work has been good.  I am going back for a check up on July 25, 2008.  I will have blood work done again, I will let all of you know what the results are.  This new life is so exciting!!!!!!

Your pouch is about a year younger than mine. July 11, 2006 for me. I didn't get anywhere near 142 cuz I was a light weight. I bet your surgeon will be very pleased.  You know, now the job is "maintenance"...and that is just as tough..maybe tougher.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Before Surgery: 214
Highest Weight: 240
Now: 125.6
Goal: 130

Melissa,

Congratulatons on all of your accomplishments and the all of the health and lifestyle benefits you are now enjoying as a result of the weightloss. I just had my one year anniversay and appointment; I'm sure that yours will go as well as mine. Now, I think is where the 'real' work is going to come as we learn to maintain the incredible loses and gains that we have attained this past year.

Wishing you continued success in your journey,

Barb
