Probiotics xpost

Which kind is the best to take? There are are crazy amount of choices. Some say acidophilus is the best, others say theres is. Any insight would be great.

I have no clue. I cannot compare one to another.  I just picked one that had alot of stuff in it.  Figured billions and billions of stuff was better than millions and millions.     I'm using one from vitacost.com .  The brand is NSI (which is vitacost's own brand).  It is called Friendly Fiber FOS.  It has worked wonders for me. I can only compare it to one I got from the Vitamin Shoppe.  It was VS' own brand and it was just Probiotics.  That did nothing for me. Kathy

Melissa my primary is really into probiotics and vitamins, I was taking acidophilus for 25 yrs and he told me it would do nothing and told me to get Sedona iflora Multi and said to  take 2 daily. It's 16 billion strain He was obviously right, my stomach is in the best shape it's ever been in. It's expensive on their site so I usually find it online at a better price. I take one from Vitacost called Living Flora.  And it has worked wonders for me.  I had been taking one from Walmart that did nothing.  This one I get from Vitacost has lots of living, active stuff in it and has to be refrigerated.  But I don't know how you go about comparing them.  My husband actually got online and researched it for me and said that one was rated number one in lots of articles he read online.  So I purchased it and gave it a try. You are not joking that there are a million choices to pick from....I tried several...But so far my favorite was one I got at Costco in a giant bottle...It just seems to work better than some otehrs and is consistant with stopping gas unless I've been totally abusive with my carbs...Then it takes a day rather than a 1/2 hour or so!   I just bought a chewable one from Costco and it doesn't seem to work as well...So I dunno either... I started with acidophilus years ago and it truly is wonderful.  Some say Acidophilus with a blend of others is the best.  The one like the best is Accuflora...
