Hey Everyone!  Well i had RNY in Feb of this year and so far i have lost 97lbs. I'm pretty excited. The skin on my arms are pretty saggy. I'll give it a year and then I might think about an arm lift. I was just wondering how everyone else's was doing? did theirs bounce back? Love to hear how your doing. Michelle

Well, in my case I would not say it bounced back.  It has sort of jiggled down:(  I think a lot of it has to do with age and genetics.  Of course, exercise does help a lot.  You will want to check out the Plastic Surgery forum.  You will learn a  lot there.  All that said, it is a better problem to have than needing to lose 100 lbs. isn't it?  But, I really understand and relate:(

I'm in my late 40's and lost a couple hundred pounds and I looked like a blood hound for a while. I did firm up a little, with lots of exercise. A lady actually asked me this weekend if I'd had PS on my arms because she remembered they used to be a lot looser than they are now. Give it some time - it may get a lot better. Unfortunately, most of us either have to live with some extra skin or resort to PS. I think I might just have to keep jiggling. I have noticed that weight lifting has helped me a lot.

My jello jiggles. My 7 yr old lifts my arms up and plays with my bat wings. Let's just say I don't wave to people. I might hit myself in the face with my extra skin! I'm going to get a tummy tuck first then work on my thighs and arms. It's going to be a while since I just can't be out of commission for any length of time right now. Too much going on.

Mine aren't too bad (I have an arm pic on my profile from my tattoo), but it took a few years before I really knew for sure. I do weight training and have managed to get some tone back into them. It also has alot to do with age, genetics, skin elasticity, etc.

There's not much to add to what everyone else said...I think I had some dumb luck for the most part (genes)...but I did work really hard to build muscle and I have to believe that counts for something... I have some places that I did very well and some places that like someone else said "just shifted downwards"...I have minor bat wings but lot's of muscle tone...I have a lot of fatty bulbs in my elbows and knees (that really bugs me to no end)...My inner thighs have bat wings too...I can't work out too much with my legs because I get wicked charlie horses/muscle cramps...I just have not been able to work those muscles as much as I'd like to.   My skin began to show much improvement after the second year...and with rigorous muscle work outs...(weights and resistence and lots of stretching too)  I did this two years straight 4 times a week for a few hours (broken into several times a day) And anytime I had free time to just do whatever I could to work out...I squeezed in muscle crunches and stretches just sitting in the car...I still do but have gotten a bit lazy after 4  1/2 years and getting older too... Here's a great article on vitamins and minerals that are good for the skin...I have always been a health nut (even obese) I have always taken very good care of my skin...I'd like to believe that also played a part in having skin that mostly ounced back into place...Here's the article if you'd like to see what vitamins do...I take all of these in supplements, although I prefer to look for these things in my food. Since surgery and malabsorption, I found that taking these vitamins as supplements ensured absorption better than with food alone and greatly improved my skin too...I'll be 44 in Aug...and had my surgery at 40.  But there are no magic cures for very loose skin...I'm scared to death of plastic surgery...so I live with my flaws which are not that severe compared to many who've lost 150lbs (as I did) or more...I'm grateful...but I still work at it too...  http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/features/s kin-nutrition
