the sequel to my last post-
I've given it some thought (and a nap), read your replies so far, and decided it would be doing myself a diservice by declaring this effort a failure ad stop trying. So in the meantime I've been to costco, loaded up on 3 grm carb 27 gram protein per serving protein powder, a case of egg beaters, and a 5 lb bag of chicken and I'm back in the game! In a few minutes I'm gonna head to the gym..again, missed the classes but I found this great schedule online on how to go from couch potato to running three miles, it takes two months to build up to. So I think I'll go try day one of that!
Just for accountability purposes, next Sunday I'm going to post my weeks calorie totals, (which will include the net cals after my workout cals are subtracted) just for accountability purposes. I'm going to do one more thing. I'm not going to weigh or measure for this one week trial. I'm going to keep going to my two gym classes a day plus my uphill treadmill climb (in prep to hike the 2nd largest mountain in the rockies in sept). keep my calories around 1,200 (total, not net) and try my hardest to keep my carbs under 20! We'll see if THIS brings results. If not, I'll tweak it again. I've been tracking food and workouts for a week, I'll keep tweaking for 3 more weeks, if STILL nothing, then I'm going to go see my surgeon, ..or at least my pcp and see if there's something wrong with my thyriod or something. I'll have a month worth of records to show them, before I give up on this and seek professional medical help for it I want to be able to have a 1 month record to show them that says "see, I'm doing everything "right" what's wrong?" I'll get this right?! If I keep trying I MIGHT lose the weight, if I give up, it's a certainty that I won't. those are my only choices as I see it! I'll be sticking around here for inspiration.thanks guys
The REALLY good news is? I got through this "defeat" without turning to food or alcohol! I'm amazing! lol Leslee Leslee
