tired, drained and I have a headache  Is this normal?  I have been eating pretty good today.  I made a recipe from the 5dpt website and it is pretty good.  but I was wondering if this headache is normal because of the carb withdrawal? I read that the headache normally happens on day two.  On day two, I was starving like marvin.....  It was crazy....
I Won't Complain!  I've had good days, I've had bad days.  All of my good days out weigh my bad days, I WON'T COMPLAIN.....  Kimberleece

Actually I felt really good by the 3rd day.  It was late day 1 and beginning of day 2 that I felt my worse.  I had headaches day 1 & 2 also.  But I am sure it effects everyone differently.  I am sure it is very normal.  It prob is carb withdrawal.  I did take something and it went away pretty quickly.  Great making it to day 3!  Good Luck Denise

The headache is totally normal & is a symptom of withdrawl. My headache ended w/ the passing of day 2. So if yours is hanging around, make sure you: 1) take something for it (no need to suffer) 2) are getting enough water 3) are packing in as much PROTEIN as possible. I went up as far as 100grms of protein. The more protein shakes = the less hungry you are & the more energy you have. I cant say that ive been "zipping around the office like a mad woman" but im not falling asleep on the key board either. Day 2 was really tough for me as well. i was STARVING at home (after work but before dinner) & didnt know what to do to avoid eating real food. Keep the faith, stay strong & determined. YOU CAN DO THIS!!

The Will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Hi there.  I've done the 5dpt, and it is normal.  Also, if you've eliminated caffeine altogether, you might want to have 1/2 c. coffee or tea...it's not good to go cold turkey.  I'm going to post introducing myself, but I thought I might be able to help you with this. take care,
