I think I saw something on the food channel about Boudin...If your parents have a recipe, share it. I'm all for confusing people about just where in the world I'm from..I've been known to make Matzo Ball Soup and Challah a couple of times..And then Homemade Manicotti..Then Chicken Mole...Keeps em guessing.  Looks good. Chili is really a great option. The beans and the meat. I love it. I hold the district record in our Chili Cookoff. Mmmm.  I bet if you did the counts on that it would be about 80 protein and "maybe" 1000-1200 calories...Keep up the good work.

Congradulations on saying NO to the donuts. That is awesome! For saying no to a donut, you should reward yourself with the trail mix...AWESOME! One step at a time.  Numbers are good too! I have to applaud your choices and your numbers.

I bought those sugar free pudding cups by Hunts, I believe...Those help. I don't think they have much protein in them but if I sprinkle the TVP on them it's a nutty topping and don't taste bad.

I'm too lazy to make my own pudding but I do have some in the cupboard that I could make if I catch a wild hare. Right now, because refrigerator space is at a premium because we need to have cold drinks...I buy the little pudding cups. a dollar for four isn't bad and they don't need refrigeration until you open them...when I open one, it's gone. That and my soy milk too. I keep all those quarts on the floor behind the dining room table until I need one in the fridge. I'm moving my life toward stuff that can be considered emergency food..LOL.
