5 DPT week of 6/23/08- Tuesday

Hello All, It's just after 6:00pm Tuesday here in Seoul. I have completed day 2. Today was more difficult for me. I'm HUNGRY but I didn't waiver from the plan. I woke up with a headache but after my first protein drink it subsided. It's back now, with the smell of dinner that I didn't eat. LOL I'm down on my water intake, but I'll be spending the rest of the evening catching up. The scale didn't move this morning like I had hoped it would. Tomorrow is another day, right? I'll probably be sleeping when you all are beginning your Tuesday. Good Luck to you all! I'm looking forward to some tuna! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Bex

Keep up the good work.  It is 7:30 am here, so I am just beginning day 2.  If you made it, I am encouraged and so can I:)  Dinner was tough last night.  I think I have a plan.  I am going to fix something for the family that I don't really care for!  It was good to feel hunger again.  I have not let myself have that feeling lately, which is what got me into that situation to begin with.  Take Care and looking forward to hearing about your day 3!  I am not sure that I get Days 3, 4, and 5.  We are eating the protein, just not much else, right?

Thanks for the encouragement. I KNOW you'll do well on Day 2. Keep your eye on your goal. According to my notes, Day 3 is soft protein. You get as much as you want as often as you want. I plan to munch on tuna and hard boiled eggs. Sounds boring, but it sounds REALLY good right now. I'm going to change this a little and continue with my protein drinks most of the day for the sole reason that I am moving and can't take the powder or blender with me (my blender ought to arrive by the end of August. OH NO!). LOL Keep us posted. YOU CAN DO IT! Bex

Congrats on your day 2. I am starting mine. I woke up and had a protien shake and am doing well thus far. Last night I did cheat. I had some soft protein because I felt like I was going to throw up if I had anything more to drink.  But overall I had a good da and am not upset by it. I had no carbs and that was important to me. Good luck with day 3.

Are you exercising every day or taking a day off (exercising every other day)? I'm curious because it seems that if I take a break the scale moves. If I do it every day the scale usually doesn't budge for a couple days..sometimes as long as a week. Bex

I was truly pround of myself day one yesterday.  Although at 8 I think I cheated by having a pear last night.  I had to have something and did NOT want jello.  I had my chilli and could not even eat the full portion.  Very unusal for me.  lol lol  Had my coffee this am.  waited my 30 min and now am having my protein shake.  I did have a headache myself yesterday although after taking something it did ease off.  Oh yeah I ate one slice of cheese to.  I am not sure if that is allowed either.  lol lol  On day one that is.  Hell I figured it was better than hersey kisses.  We can do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Day two is here and three is on the way.  Oh I decided I was not gonna way until next Monday.  I originally was gonna weigh every day but I dont normally like doing that anyway so just gonna wait the full week to weigh .  Well I might way sat to see what I actually did after the 5 days is up.  Good Luck Denise

Good Morning and Congrats to everyone!! I made it through Day One without any difficulties - YIPEE!! I hated the ham and cheese soup I made for dinner so I was hungry around 10 pm so I had a cup of the split pea soup which is very yummy! Both recipes are on the 5DPT website so it's not cheating but kinda felt like it. I woke up with a terrible headache this morning. Do you suppose that's carb withdrawal?? The good news is that I lost 3 POUNDS!! I'm not going to weigh myself again until Saturday morning though because I don't want to get discouraged if I don't continue to lose every day. I think today is going to be more difficult but I'll make it. Have a great day!

I'm so jealous! I haven't lost anything yet. It's almost midnight here in Seoul. Wednesday/ Day 3 is on the horizon. Can't wait to chew something. I'm going to weigh myself when I wake up. Had I kept the relationship with my scale I wouldn't be where I am now. GGGRRR!!! Good Luck Bex
