the Daily Plate..the tracking is ON!
I just got signed up on the Daily plate, I LOVE it! I also worked out for 50 min today and so far have consumed a net calorie total of 214...wow, if I finish my day like this and continue this way of course I'll start losing weight again. Yeah, I really think cutting out the drinking and snacking isn't enough. I think I actually need to track what I eat, I think i was probably still eating a LOT more than I was keeping track of in my head. So thanks to all of you who have inspired me to do what my mom has ALWAYS told me to do "keep a diary of your food" lol. Also, as a side note.. keeping track of food is a LOT easier when one isn't eating constantly! If you only eat 3 meals a day and have the same basic "staple" foods with a little variation now and then, keeping track really isn't THAT big of a pain.

Before/Lowest/Current/Goal I have come too far to take orders from a cookie!
Good point, I think I'm pretty sure I'm eating too much, but how cool would it be to find out I'm not eating enough! and THAT is the cause for not losing weight, I would enjoy adding more food! hahaha...but I think more likely I'll find I'm eating too much.. I mean at least before with all the drinking and snacking, I had to have been consuming over 3,000 cal some days! Knowing your'e gonna have to account for it does make you think twice before eating. So I'm looking forward to giving it a try, even just for a week, do you know with ALLLLL my years of dieting I don't know that I've faithfully acurately kept track of my intake for a full 7 days. Anyway..I'm talking way to much and need to get to bed! Thanks Sher

I agree with sel, it's going to really make a difference for you...
One thing that really interested me was I use Butter Buds in most everything and on most everything. One day I put margarine on something..I think it was my oatmeal. When I went to track that in fitday, I found that the skinny little tablespoon that I put on my oatmeal was 100 calories...HELL! for years I was putting closer to 4 tablespoons on my meals..YIKES> it really opens your eyes to put stuff down each day...
See ya!
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I noticed that with the olive oil for my omelet this morning 1 tbs had like 150 calories or something, I was like dang! I could eat like 5 more servings of egg beaters! (more than my pouch could even hold!). So tomorrow morning I'm trying pam !

Go to Walmart or Target or a kitchen store and get an oil mister....(Looks like a can of Pam) Only you can put your own olive oil in there and a tiny spray goes such a nice long way! Plus then you can use whatever quality oil you want...Personally, I use olive oil for all my oil cooking needs. My mom is from Italy and once in a while I get some quality Italian oil and it lasts a nice long time in the mister!
Oh yeah! good idea! I've seen those before. And now that I'm tracking my foods I'm gonna keep my meals kinda the same...just to make tracking easier, a veggie omelet is such a great choice, if I make it with egg beaters and the mister for oil the calories will be way down and the protein up! Thanks for the idea.

Oh I know...I love those egg beaters...I haven't bought them in about a month...Been kinda skipping breakfast lately and just having a protein coffee...But those egg beaters are soooo good and nice an lean so THANK YOU! for reminding me to add that to my grocery list...
You are doing soooo great...It's fun watching your enthusiasm and determination...You are inspiring...You make me want to try harder because I have been a mess lately! LOL
Big hugs!
I was tired when I wrote this...LOL I didn't really explain... I used to use the vanilla creme fru -fru in my coffee.(2-3 cups in the morning)...but now I put two scoops of protein powder in only one cup of coffee, because I like to get the protein supp out of the way first thing and it keeps me totally full all day til lunch...Plus I cut waaaaay back on coffee this way too. Coffee is not good for vitamins...It blocks some vitamins from being absorbed...So This was the best I could do to get in more protein and cut back on caffeine....I even use instant coffee now when I don't feel like making a fresh pot....
That's all that is...I whip the heck outta it with a quick prep hand tool by Cuisinart and I get a most satisfying vanilla protein and soymilk coffee latte drink with a nice frothy top....I love it. Feels like a naughty Starbucks Latte...but it's not....I can only drink one because it's so filling too...and two would be far too many calories anyway!
195 calories/ 4Fat/ 5.5 Carbs/ 31.5 Protein/ 3 Fiber/ 2.5 sugar
1 C coffee (instant or fresh brewed or even cold)
1/2 C soymilk or reg milk (i use unsweetened soy)
2 Scoops (or a serving) vanilla or chocolate or one of each protein of your choice (I use EAS whey/soy blend)
Whip is altogether and enjoy.... Obviously you can make this as fru fur as you want too...add ice chips and a dab of SF whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon for those bad days you need a nice treat! LOL Or make with chai spices or pumpkin pie spices for a spicy kick....SOOOO many variations....But for everyday...I just make my quick regular to start my day! LOL then I'll do an egg beat omelet for lunch!
